    Recent instalments Resident Evil 3 (189,490) and Resident Evil 2 (265,324) also enjoyed stronger debuts in Japan.

    It’s worth noting that Famitu’s sales data only covers physical copies, and digital sales will be much higher in 2021 than in previous years, likely pushing Village’s first week much higher up the series’ sales rankings.

    Many regions of Japan are also currently in a State of Emergency, and it’s possible that Village’s first-person perspective also impacted sales, since FPS games have historically struggled in Japan.

    Outside of Capcom‘s home market, Village enjoyed a strong first-week performance. According to the publisher, Village shipped over 3 million units worldwide in its first four days on sale.

    Capcom’s figure means that Village is tracking ahead of previous instalments Resident Evil 3 (2 million in five days) and Resident Evil 7 (2.5 million in four days). It’s also matched 2019’s Resident Evil 2, which also took four days to ship 3 million units.

    Village also recorded the second biggest physical launch week of 2021 in the UK to date, behind only Super Mario 3D World + Bowser’s Fury.

    It also enjoyed a strong debut on PC, comfortably smashing the series’ record for concurrent players on Steam.

    Capcom has said it hopes Village will become the franchise’s best-selling entry, following strong sales of the game’s last numbered entry (8.5m), which is its no. 1 title.

    “Our main ambition for this year, although there’s so much going on at the same time, is to make sure Resident Evil: Village will be the best-performing Resident Evil title, both in terms of quality as well as business,” Capcom’s EMEA marketing director Antoine Molant told GI.biz in March.

    VGC’s Resident Evil Village review calls Capcom’s horror adventure “a deliciously hammy hybrid of past glories, with some real series highs”.

    RE Engine becomes just as performant as we'd hope it would be - on close to console equivalent settings with ray tracing enabled, I could play between 90fps up to 160fps on an RTX 3080.

    O alta comparatie ffff proasta a DF

    Acolo unde e acelasi lucru pe ecran, este acelasi fps. Acolo unde nu este, e normal sa difere - vezi la 0:40 acolo unde este ce ai postat tu, cu 31 vs 112fps, unde ai efectiv altceva pe ecran in acel moment (in stanga e un personaj, in dreapta e complet acoperit de acelemuste sau ce sunt ele), doar in multe locuri nu e acelasi lucru pe ecran si atunci e diferit fps-ul - inclusiv cu DRM merge mai bine in unele locuri, tocmai pt ca difera chestiile de pe ecran.

    Unde sunt diferente de 1fps, e pentru ca depinde cum rotunjeste - daca in realitate ai 106.5 fps, counter-ul iti afiseaza fie 106, fie 107.

    Problema e ca nu poti compara chestii niciodata, cand difera lucrurile de pe ecran. D-aia comparatiile se fac de regula in cinematics in game sau in momentele scriptate. Pentru ca altfel un inamic poate sa fie in cadru complet sau nu, pot fi 2 sau mai multi vs 1 dincolo, poti avea particule sau nu, samd.

    Diferentele aici sunt la frame time, dar overall fps ma si mir ca e identic cand lucrurile sunt la fel, pentru ca m-as fi asteptat la fluctuatii gen 3-4 fps chiar daca e identic ce e pe ecran, pentru ca difera temperatura etc.

    UPDATE 15/7/21 11.25am: Capcom got in touch this morning to give us an update on this situation. "The team are working on a patch to address PC performance issues, it should be available soon - we'll have more details shortly." This sounds like a positive move and will update with analysis of any update as and when it appears.

    Sunt trei solutii:

    Sa preia modelul celor de la Rockstar si CD Projekt care n-au bagat deloc DRM, dar au scos jocuri bune incat ca au obtinut vanzari mari. Sa lase piratii sa faca ce vor, dar atunci cand le vor descarca si le vor vedea cat de bune sunt, sa se zgarie pe ochi ca n-au cumparat jocul si unii, din bun simt, vor cumpara jocurile.

    Ori sa bage componente online in single-player cum procedeaza Activision-Blizzard in cazul ultimelor trei titluri Call of Duty si la Destiny 2.


    Ori sa lanseze variantele de PC strict pe platforme Cloud.

    Au rezolvat problema pe PC:
    "Adjustments have been made to optimise the anti-piracy technology." It took Capcom 74 days from launch to release a patch to address the performance issues of the PC version of Resident Evil Village - an update Capcom had to deliver in the face of revelations that the pirated/cracked version of the game ran nigh-on flawlessly. And yet that single line is all the explanation those who bought and paid for the game received. We can confirm that the PC version of the game is now fixed, but the lack of explanation or indeed apology from Capcom still leaves us some way short of closure.
    Resident Evil Village is an AMD-sponsored title, so it's nice to see the arrival of AMD FidelityFX Super Resolution (FSR) in the game. I played using the same optimised settings I've always used, which basically matches and tweaks upon presets that are broadly equivalent to the console game. On both RTX 3080 and Radeon RX 6800XT, performance is well north of 100fps with the game's checkerboarding 'interlace' mode enabled, and usually in the region 80fps with native rendering. Therefore the inclusion of FSR is an interesting alternative to the interlace mode, which does have issues - particularly with hair rendering and with some issues with double-width pixels on some content that causes specular aliasing.

    Ăștia de la Capcom sunt efectiv dezaxați. Cum sa stai aproape 3 luni cu jocul care rulează mai bine piratat decât cumpărat? Așa îi răsplătesc ei pe fraierii care au dat 60 de euro când îl puteau lua moca?

    Banii înapoi la toată lumea + scuze in public + demisie management + oferta de angajare trimisa lui Empress. Mi se pare absolut ireal că nu s-a întâmplat asta.

    Era gamebreaking? Inca nu l-am cumparat, am auzit numai de bine despre joc.

    In sfarsit am reusit sa il iau si eu la un pret rezonabil (dupa Resident evil 7 am zis ca nu o sa mai cumpar nimic full price din seria Resident evil), si isi merita fiecare banut din punctul meu de vedere...se simt multe influente din Resident evil 4, dar inca sper sa ii faca un remake adevarat. Nu am intalnit buguri pana acum, totul se misca impecabil. Intrebare pentru entuziastii FPS-urilor, acele accesorii despre care tot aud pentru joystick, ajuta intradevar cand vine vorba de aim sau doar cei experimentati simt diferenta? (de fel urasc FPS-urile, deci sunt praf total)

    Daca nu e mouse si tastatura nu prea are ce sa te ajute. Am jucat RE4 cu telecomanda de Nintendo WII si oferea o senzatie interesanta insa nu ai viteza de reactie ca primele accesorii amintite.

    Am inteles, dar despre scuff-uri sau cum se numesc, ai vreo informatie? Nu vreau sa investesc aiurea in ceva daca doar cei ce joaca FPS mereu, simt diferenta.
