Lucas Arts va lansa The Secret of Monkey Island 2: Special Edition pentru XBL, PC, PSN si iPhone. Data de lansare a fost stabilita pentru vara anului 2010. Acesta va avea un control modificat, pe langa interfata point and click vom avea si posibilitatea sa-l plimbam pe Guybrush. Desigur ca vom avea parte si de grafica HD, sunet mai bun si voci pentru toate personajele.

• Guybrush's movements are now mapped to the analog stick
• pressing L1 highlights objects that you can interact with
• when you pull and hold R2 over objects only the best action options (Pick Up, Give, Talk To, Push, Pull, Use, etc.) will show up, making it much easier to navigate the world through a controller
• voiceover work is also available in the classic version, so you can enjoy the old school graphics with the power of speech and better sound effects
• commentary track feature: peppered throughout the game, a prompt will appear in the upper left corner whenever commentary is available; the outlines of Gilbert, Schafer and Grossman appear in the lower right corner
• as you play Monkey Island Special Edition 2 Le Chuck's Revenge, you'll unlock concept art from the original artists as well as re-worked art from the Special Edition
