    James Bond: Bloodstone

News: James Bond: Bloodstone revealed - ComputerAndVideoGames.com

It appears that Activision and Bizarre Creations' top-secret new James Bond game has been outed - and it's called James Bond: Bloodstone.

According to a new HMV online listing, James Bond: Bloodstone will be released on PS3, Xbox 360 and Wii, and is 'coming soon'. The retailer lists it as a 'driving game'.

Looks like this is the Bizarre Creations-developed title that was first mentioned back in 2008.

We know that the title won't be tied to the release of a movie - not least because the unrelated 23rd Bond film was put on hold this week due to concerns over the future of film giant MGM.

UK soap actor Adam Croasdell said that he'd played the part of 007 in "the new James Bond video game" last year - which sounds like a leak to us.

He said: "Oddly enough I have just played James Bond in the new James Bond video game - how weird is that? I don't know what the future holds, but I'm always into varying up what comes my way, trying new things. ... I think video games and the making of that type of technology, being in a funny one-piece suit and being shot with 60 cameras, I think that's sort of the future."

Rumours abound that it's not just a racer - but also contains FPS or third-person elements.

Activision has officially announced James Bond 007: Blood Stone, an original Bond experience from screenwriter Bruce Feirstein. In development for the Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and PC, Blood Stone promises to be an explosive third-person action adventure that will unravel an international conspiracy across exotic locales.

"James Bond 007: Blood Stone captures the cinematic intensity of a Bond film by immersing players in an intriguing conspiracy that will require them to think and act like James Bond," said David Pokress, Head of Marketing for Licensed Properties, Activision Publishing. "In addition, the game will feature a diverse array of multi-player modes and debut strategic objective-based gameplay that will allow Xbox 360, PS3 and PC players to battle as teams of spies and mercenaries through authentic Bond locales."

Joss Stone is set to debut as the newest Bond girl in Blood Stone, and will also be writing music for the game. Daniel Craig and Judy Dench will be offering their voice talent to the game too.

Players will be able to go behind-the-wheel across land and sea, whilst using the latest high tech gadgetry to assist them in cover-based firefights and lethal hand-to-hand combat as they travel through Athens, Istanbul, Monaco and Bangkok.

Multiplayer features 16-players in modes that have spies battling mercenaries. It should be out at the end of this year and is being developed by Bizarre Creations.

Check back soon for our preview and more, as we're currently being shown the game at an event in London. Make sure you check out the latest screenshots while you wait.
