BioShock Infinite gets special Game Informer cover treatment

Game Informer�s blown its top on all things BioShock Infinite, putting the Irrational reboot on its cover for its next issue.The magazine has three new pieces of concept art of the game for the covers, first shown at a PAX panel with the studio yesterday alongside a gameplay demo, and even redoing its logo to the style of the 1912 setting above.The mag also promises to be �packed with new info about Columbia, protagonist Booker DeWitt, his companion Elizabeth, and the monstrous titan that rules the sky above the city.�Big stuff. Irrational Games’ Chris Remo, has said we’ll be seeing some BioShock: Infinite gameplay very soon.


The game’s first play video will be released on September 21. It’s to first appear on Xbox Live and Xbox.com, with a more general release the following day.

BioShock: Infinite is a first-person shooter set in 1912. It’s to lift players out of the “familiar confines” of BioShock’s Rapture, and send them to Columbia, an city in the sky.

We recently visited New York where we got a first-hand look at the game, while Keza caught up with Irrational’s Ken Levine at gamescom

On September 21, 2010, 9.00am PDT, fans will get their first chance to see what the critics have been raving about, when Irrational Games releases footage from the BioShock� Infinite demo for an exclusive 24-hour period on Xbox LIVE and Xbox.com. Then, on September 22, Irrational Games will post the footage on BioShockInfinite.com and distribute the video worldwide. Previously presented only to limited press audiences behind closed doors, the demo video that won IGN's Gamescom Game of Show Award will be shown to the public for the very first time.

The BioShock� Infinite demo video opens with the game's protagonist, former Pinkerton agent Booker DeWitt, battling through the streets of Columbia, a crumbling city in the sky. He has come to rescue Elizabeth, a mysterious young woman imprisoned there since childhood. As DeWitt and Elizabeth merge their powers in a desperate bid to escape the city, viewers will witness intense indoor and outdoor battles, new weapons and abilities, and dangerous new enemies including Elizabeth's terrifying captor.

BioShock Infinite, planned to release in 2012, is in development for the Xbox 360� video game and entertainment system from Microsoft, the PlayStation�3 computer entertainment system, and Games for Windows�, and is not yet rated by the ESRB.

este absolut superb. Sunt curios daca este actual gameplay sau CG, pentru ca are prea multe momente "cinematice". Oricum... WOW

Este actual gameplay. Din cate imi amintesc, si la Bioshock 1 au facut un demo cu motorul grafic, cateva din puteri, o bucatica din oras si multe cinematice dar care nu era parte din story, era doar un demo pentru motorul grafic, oras si concept.

Frumos dar ala e tot regizat si CG dupa parerea mea,nimeni nu joaca in realitate asa sa steie sa se uite pe pereti cand inamicii trag in el sau sa fuga cu spatele la ei.Ca si concept arata f bine si daca vor reusi sa faca jocul sa arate asa de bine bravo lor.
