A senior games industry source has confirmed to MCV the name of the new entry in the Driver series that Ubisoft will be unveiling at E3 next week – Driver: San Francisco.
The moniker is not a huge surprise. A teaser video released earlier this week hinted that San Francisco – a big feature of the very first Driver game – would indeed be the location of the new outing.
It was also reported earlier this year that Ubisoft had registered the domain driversanfranciscogame.com.
The west coast US setting is an understandable choice for the game, with its assortment of steep slopes, iconic cable car system and the likes of recognisable prison Alcatraz offering up a great range of options for developer Ubisoft Reflections to work with.
Primul Driver avea ceva aparte, avea acel feeling al filmelor şi serialelor din anii '70 cu poliţişti, avea ceva din Starsky and Hutch, avea ceva şi din Bullit, avea ceva aparte. Din păcate după primul seria a urmat o pantă descendentă. Faptul că nu-mi aduc aminte de doi spune multe iar Driv3r a fost un eşec total din cauză că au �ncercat să mulgă vaca adusă pe piaţă de Rockstar cu GTAul �n 3D iar eşecul s-a jocului s-a putut observa din reviewuri şi v�nzări.
Din păcate nu se spun multe nici despre acest Driver , deoarece un teaser care apelează la nostalgia noastră nu-nseamnă neapărat că va fi un joc de calitate, �nsă c�nd mă g�ndesc la San Francisco şi urmăriri mă g�ndesc la Bullit deci poate va ieşi ceva de capul lui.

vai lista aia face tot trailerul , primul joc a fost incredibil cand luai o curba putin aiurea si iti zburau capacele , ce fascinat eram atunci de jocurile astea ... speram sa iasa bine jocul nu doar trailerul .

Just when you thought we already knew everything about Driver before it was even close to launch, Ubisoft announced a few new features including for the first time, fully licensed cars appearing in the title. That’s right, if you ever have felt like going on a rampage at your local in-game shopping mall, then driving off into a blazing horizon in your brand new Ferrari*, Driver might actually let you do it.
Also announced was a new ability called “Shift” that will allow you to unlock missions as well as unlock and access new vehicles. Our man on the floor Chad Lakkis has commented and said Driver looks great, and Officer Tanner, the main protagonist from the first series is in fact back.

Shiftul pare interesant.
Foarte urat treaba cu shift-ul, strica din joc, parca nu mai e asa realistic iar masinile si grafica nu par interesante, probabil va fi un mare esec avand in vedere jocurile care apar gen Mafia 2, GTA 5 si LA Noire
Are dashboard, that's a plus. Un alt plus ar fi că mi-aş lua de-acum collector's edition �nsă nu ştiu c�t de bine este lucrat modelul.

ideea cu shiftul pare destul de interseantă. Nu pot să zic că sunt prea-nc�ntat cum nu prea mă-nc�ntă nici povestea dezvăluită �n trailer pentru a explica abilitatea de "shift" �nsă, i'm a sucker pentru jocurile ce au autoturisme "oficiale" şi "dashboards" aşa că pentru mine pare a fi un must have. Singura-ntrebare pe care mi-o pun este pe ce mediu �l achiziţionez.
Mi-a placut foarte mult primul Driver. Sper sa semene ca atmosfera cat mai mult cu 1'st Driver. Se vede pe acolo si o Alfa Romeo Mito?
