Intr-un interviu acordat celor de la VideoGamer.com Hunter Smith, game executive producer la studiourile EA din Redwood pentru GodFather II a declarat ca dupa parerea lor un gamer nu are timp sa dedice unui joc 80-100 de ore (batand un apropo catre GTA IV). Acesta a spus ca pe aceasta premiza au plecat cand au inceput sa lucreze la Godfather II. Initial au mers pe premiza unui joc de 50-80 de ore dar ajunsesera sa umple timpul si actiunea din joc cu lucuri nu de calitate asa s-au razgandit si au regandit toata actiunea. Pana la urma un gamer va putea termina jocul in 12-25 ore de gameplay. Tinand cont la ce jocuri se joc azi care au singleplayer din ce in ce mai mic si multiplayer mai bine conturat suna foarte buna 15-25 ore de gameplay. Ca sa aflam mai multe ori asteptam alte informatii pe net ori asteptam luna Februarie a anului 2009 pentru a-l putea juca. De asemenea EA a comunicat ca un DEMO nu este in plan asadar nu il vom putea testa inainte de lansare.

"First time we were down this path we felt like that was an objective of ours, to have 50 to 80 hours of gameplay. We ended up just making s$!t up so we could fill that model. Now I think our range for the player will be somewhere in the 15 to 25 hour experience.We've got multiplayer we think is fun that feeds back and forth; We've also got a strategy game - you could replay this thing in really different ways. It's not a linear game by any stretch of the imagination. We felt like that was a much more fun thing to do for a player. I also feel like, when I look at most customers, most of them don't have 80 to 100 hours to dedicate to anything. I'd rather have more people enjoy the game."
