    Nu stiu de ce lumea desconsidera din start aceasta consola. Mie nu mi se par asa de urate dpdv grafic jocurile disponibile pentru tablete/telefoane.

    Ce nu imi place mie este sistemul de "free to play" initial, dar care in scurt timp te strange de oO sa dai ceva in game sa poti merge in continuare...

    Ca alt detaliu, Shadowgun pe un GalaxyTab 8.9 la rezolutie de 1280x800 mi se pare ca arata excelent, si asta pe un Tegra 2...

    Games industry analyst Kevin Dent used Twitter today to post his 10 reasons why the Ouya will fail.

    His reasons:

    1. The cost price of the Tegra 3 chip set is $25 if they got it at cost and the rest of the mats and manufacturing for free= 160K units
    2. Lack of developer buy in: there are no developers that JUST focus on Android because it does not monetize well.
    3. Open: they make rooting super easy which means piracy will be super easy.
    4. Lack of experience in the VG space
    5. Content drives device sales. Today they have zero content, costs to port an existing title? 100k+
    6. Who wants to buy a device with 8GB of space, 1GB of ram and a low end chipset?
    7. I literally don’t know a single person that wants to play a mobile game on a 60″ screen
    8. Also capital related: as soon as they get the kickstarter money they have to pay the IRS as kickstarter money is booked as income
    9. They have zero distribution into retail, do you think Amazon will be promoting this?

    Mai este un lucru peste care majoritatea trec cu vederea usor: jocurile Android sunt totusi optimizate 100% pentru touch screen. Chiar daca Ouya va veni cu gamepads, din start nu stiu daca sunt titluri care sa poata fi usor convertite in a fi controlabile via gamepad... iar unele jocuri sunt completelly useless cu gamepad-ul.

    Nu stiu cate jcouri sunt asa de "optimizate" pt touch, probabil alea mai simplute, dar eu am jucat Asphalt 6 pe Xperia Play muuuuuuuuuuuult mai fiain pe controllerul integrat decat pe touch. De jocurile shooter nu mai zic (gen BIA), efectiv n-ai sanse sa-l joci pe touch.

    Asa o fi, dar banuiesc ca daca scoti o consola scoti si jocuri pt ea, nu doar portezi jocuri mai vechi. Si alea clar le scot pt gamepad. In final asta e tot ce conteaza, anume ce jocuri vor scoate, nu conteaza hardware-ul sau alte chestii, daca scot jocuri bune o sa fie o consola reusita, daca nu...nu.

    A se vedea si PS Vita, are hardware relativ puternic, e scumpa, dar degeaba, are putine jocuri bune...

    Xperia Play e ceva... aparte. Pentru mine, e o strutzo-camila. Un smartphone prost cu un gamepad pe masura. Genul de device-uri care pot falimenta o firma. Ooops, it actually almost did it!

    In rest, da... cam toate jocurile sunt optimizate pentru touch. Exceptie poate porturile mai vechi, dar si acelea ajung sa fie touch based 100%. Asta pentru ca deh, 99% din smartphone-uri si tablets nu au decat... hmmm... touchscreen?

    Vezi tu vreun developer care sa se arunce sa lucreze pentru o consola care nu are nimic (in afara de ceva bani donati de visatori)? Eu unul nu vad... decat poate ceva indie care sa "fraternizeze" cu ei, mai mult in speranta ca vor deveni mai cunoscuti. Poate cine stie, daca ar fi sarit cu o colaborare cu EA, Ubisoft, Namco/Bandai, Capcom, etc... poate ar fi fost mai mare impactul. Dar asa, cam greu...

    Exact. Daca PS Vita nu are succes (bine, ca si Sony "contribuie" la maxim pentru acces succes), iti poti imagina ce succes poate avea o consola fara publisheri si developeri in spate?

    mi se pare o t�mpenie uriașă chestia asta.
    un smartphone intr-o cutie și il numește consolă, fiindcă majoritatea celor care sunt casual nu știu să iși conecteze PC-ul la TV. dacă vă veți uita pe YT la comentarii, majoritatea vor spune cum "abia aștept să joc minecraft pe TV" și chestii de genul.
    acum s-a ajuns la 5 milioane de $ și nu e de ajuns ! acum așteaptă să atragă atenția investitorilor. dar mă intreb, dacă str�ngeau doar aia 950.000$ ce dracu făceau ? părerea mea ? scam. un foarte mare scam. g�ndiți-vă: dacă puneau de la inceput "dați-ne un milion de dolari ca să ne dea alții alte c�teva milioane și vă dăm peste un an - doi o consolă", nu vă sună mai degrabă a email de la prințu' ăla nigerian ?
    also, mulți se așteaptă la titluri AAA de la chestiuța asta. ba chiar pe pagina Kickstarter au pus băieții ( defapt fata, că o tipă e in charge ) un poll cu ce titluri AAA ar vrea să vadă, că "le trimitem noi mail să vadă ce demand este". dar v-ați uitat c�te persoane au donat ? 40.000. nici at�t. o să optimizeze ***** jocuri AAA, ba chiar GRATIS ( fiindcă asta promit ei: orice joc are și varianta full gratis intr-un fel sau altul ), pentru o consolă de 99$. my god. nu m-ar mira dacă ar face asta ridic�nd rezoluția variantelor de pe telefoanele mobile.

    ăsta e următorul Phantom. scam of the goddamned video game century

    citisem undeva "cum de nu s-a g�ndit nimeni la o consolă construit pe baza a STEAM". asta cred că va urma. defapt, dacă aș știi mai bine, m-aș apuca chiar eu de asta. str�ng 2 milioane $ pe KS și mă găsiți prin Maldive.

    Ouya + emulatoare (SNES, Genesis, N64, Playstation etc..) care ruleaza perfect = Succes (dar stiu ca pe cei din ziua de azi nu ii intereseaza jocurile vechi)
    Jocurile de Android pot fi doar un bonus. Dar ma astept sa scoata jocuri exclusive, daca lucreaza pe hardware-ul ala pot sa scoata grafica aproapiata de cea de pe consolele actuale.

    UPDATE:

    The Ouya will feature an exclusive Ouya store for applications and games designed specifically for the Ouya system. Out of the box, Ouya will include the Twitch.TV application. The physical dimensions of the console are expected to be around the size of a Rubik's cube. It is expected to run on a modified version of Android 4.0 "Ice Cream Sandwich", and will be hardware moddable (with "well-documented test points") and rootable (developer models ordered during the Kickstarter campaign for $699 or $1,337 will come pre-rooted). Rooting the console will not void the warranty. The console's design will allow it to be easily opened up, requiring only a standard screwdriver. All systems can be used as development kits, allowing any Ouya owner and gamer to also be a developer, without the need for licensing fees. All games will be required to have some kind of free-to-play form.

    “Our console is quite small, around the size of a Rubik's cube,” B�har said. A standard Rubik’s cube is about 2.2 inches on each side.
    The small size makes sense: most of the Ouya’s internal components have been crammed into mobile devices in the past. B�har hinted that the console might have been even smaller except for concerns about heat: "We intend to give the Tegra chipset room to breathe, as obviously it does get warm. Airflow is important here."

    Ouya's latest project update clues in backers on the console's ability to stream and play PC games remotely ... via established streaming service OnLive. Ouya took to its Kickstarter project page with an update detailing the partnership and showing off the full controller seen above.

    OnLive's service doesn't seem to be limited in any ways on Ouya, with the announcement stating OnLive "will deliver a full console-classe experience, bringing hundreds of top-tier games from more than 80 publishers to the Ouya console for play on demand." The service is also detailed as "the same OnLive experience," which sounds an awful lot like it'll have the same library available through OnLive elsewhere.
