Telltale’s Fables adaptation detailed, will release beginning this summer | VG247


The game series will follow Bigby Wolf as he is exiled from the fantasy world to New York City. The first episode will release this summer on PC, Mac, Xbox 360 and PS3.

Also making appearances in the games will be Mr. Toad and the Three Little Pigs. It’ll take place before the main comic series, and will be an original story in the Fables universe.

“Developing The Wolf Among Us based on the Fables universe has allowed our studio to build upon all of the hallmarks of what makes our episodic series so engaging for players,” said Telltale CEO Dan Connors. “Through an evolution of our approach to choice and consequence, we can further explore the complexity of each and every iconic character in a universe rich with untold history from the darkest sides of the storybooks.”

The first episode of Telltale's The Wolf Among Us will launch this Friday, October 11 on Xbox 360 and PC. Telltale says it is still confirming the game's PS3 release date, which is "expected to be just a few days after the initial Xbox 360 and PC releases go live."

The game has players guiding Sheriff Bigby through a section of New York City called Fabletown. The five-episode season is based on Bill Willingham's Fables comic book series, which features numerous characters from fairy tales and their struggles.

The Wolf Among Us' episodes cost $4.99 each. Players can purchase a season pass on Xbox Live granting access to all episodes for $14.99 – but that's in addition to the $4.99 cost of the first episode. The season can also be pre-purchased on Steam for 10 percent off ($22.49) until the first episode hits on Friday. discount up until the time the game launches this Friday.

Telltale will confirm the release dates on PlayStation Network for PlayStation 3 for North America and Europe as soon as they are confirmed by the platform holders but it is expected to be just a few days after the initial XBOX 360 and PC releases go live. The PlayStation 3 version of the game series will be available for consumers to purchase as individual episodes for $4.99 USD or as a Season Pass for $19.99 which will include episodes 1-5 as they are released.

PS încă o capodoperă, cred ca il iau prin noiembrie cand primesc cei 20$ pe US

L-am inceput si eu (thanks naz & ReNeGaDe124), nu am jucat foarte mult, dar pana acum imi place, pare sa aiba mai multa actiune decat TWD. Si merge foarte bine cu controller-ul de PS3.

Am terminat primul episod, chiar mi-a placut. (la sfarsitul saptamanii vine review-ul)

Nu imi vine sa cred ce s-a intamplat la sfarsit, Telltale au o problema cu omoratul personajelor de care te atasezi.
Edit:Cineva pe NeoGaf spune o chestie interesanta, cand Bigby a intrebat oglinda de Faith nu a raspuns, spre deosebire de tatal ei, pe care l-a aratat mort, deci ...

GOTY pentru mine so far, si am jucat tot ce e mai de seama anu' asta (da, si Bioshock, si GTA, si Metro etc) cu exceptia The Last Of US

Si Beyond: Two Souls? (ca practic sunt daca nu acelasi gen, foarte asemanatoare)

Astept, sa-l joc si pe ala, insa nu cred ca sa va ridica la nivelul TWAU.

FFS, am simtit un amalgam de sentimente pe durata primului episod, suspans, nostalgie (personajele din fabulele copilariei), tristete etc. Daca vrei o comparatie mano a mano (sau gen la gen) primul episod mi se pare mult mai bun decat primul episod din cealalta capodepora a Telltale Games, TWD.

Da, stiu ca seamana foarte mult cu TWD dar am zis de Beyond ca ai zis ca e GOTY pentru tine (si eram curios daca ti-a placut mai mult ca Beyond).

Incearca atunci si seria de benzi desenate ,,Fables" de Bill Willingham (dupa ce termini primul sezon al jocurilor, ca vad ca asa cum a zis Renegade primul sezon scos de Telltale e prequel la colectia de benzi desenate)
