LittleBigPlanet 2’s audio lead has said the game’s impressive music sequencer was under consideration for development as a stand-alone title.
Media Molecule’s Kenny Young told Gamespot that Sony pushed the developer to work on a music creation game when shown an early version of the sequencer.
“The music sequencer was always one of those ideas we had simmering away in the background. [Media Molecule] had included it in the original LBP pitch to Phil Harrison back in 2006 to help demonstrate ‘creative gaming’,” he said.
“Actually, Sony was pretty keen that we do it as a separate product altogether”.
“I can certainly understand the thinking behind that,” he added. “But we like the fact that once you load LBP, it offers you a suite of creative tools all in one place, not to mention that the whole point of the sequencer is to solve the problem of providing music for those millions of community levels.”
Young said the sequencer wasn’t included in the first LittleBigPlanet because of its complexity to develop, calling it “a massive undertaking” and “essentially a whole app in and of itself”, but that it seemed the only solution for the sequel.
“It became clear that the only way the community would have access to a large amount of music was if they wrote it themselves,” he said, adding that certain automatic sound design features of the original had become “hindrance[s] that the community were fighting against in their pursuit of awesomeness.”

Media Molecule answered some fan questions regarding their newly released hit game, one of which opens up some incredible possibilities within the creation mode of LittleBigPlanet 2. Jesse Sesler asked about what would be included in the title update that would provide Move support, and Media Molecule representatives responded:Well, the exciting thing to do with Move is, we’re working on a play-create-share pack. We’re still in the R&D phase and working out what the features will be, but it will be announced in a little while and we’re really excited. In the same was as in LBP2, you have the Controlinator and you can remap the controls, you’ll be able to do the same thing with Move. It’ll also allow the community to make their own Move games and that’s very cool.We’ve already seen throughout the beta testing and the opening week what incredible possibilities there are for unique levels in this game, but giving users access to creating Move controlled levels opens the flood gates for putting the new peripheral to good use. We know the update is coming, we just don’t know when, so in the mean time let’s figure out what to do with it once it gets here.

Media Molecule co-founder David Smith has said that even before it completed global launch, LittleBigPlanet 2 left its precursor in the dust in terms of online users.
“The user count is actually quite crazy – we’ve already massively outstripped our LBP1 record for total users online at once,” Smith told Eurogamer. “And that’s just with North America and a few other territories.”
While Smith was unable to give hard numbers, he did confirm the original game’s online user base has continued to grow after topping 2 million online users within four months of release, and shows no signs of stopping.
“LittleBigPlanet 1 does have this huge lifecycle and the concurrent play-count is just continually increasing. You expect these things to spike and then boil down to almost nothing, but it’s been quite the reverse,” he said.

Multiplayerul nu are probleme de lag, cel putin eu nu am intalnit, dar daca nu fac trick-ul cu opritul gamepad-ului nu reusesc sa intru in multiplayer, "loading screen" incarcandu-se la infinit. In alta ordine de idei, sunt anumite leveluri online, care pur si simplu ma fac sa regret ca am chiulit de la orele de lucru manual

spuneti-mi si mie la capitolul grafica/texturi este mai bun ca primul sau macar la fel? ca eu am varianta jailbreak si texturile is cam urate si ..in LBP 1 aratau unele chestii mai bine.... mai ales controllerul din POD pe care il controleaza sackboy arata rau de tot asa e si la voi?..ca ma gandesc sa il iau original (jocul).

Eu am auzit ca daca joci online arata mult mai bine saculetu ala. Poti sa incerci inainte sa te hotarasti daca il iei original sau nu.. ar fi pacat altfel.
Stie cineva daca pot sa import lucrurile din LBP varianta EU in LBP2 varianta US?Am incercat si zice ca nu a gasit nimic.
Nu vor merge, game saves sunt incompatibile la orice joc EU vs US.
Am rezolvat,a trebuit sa dau overwrite la profilul din LBP2 cu cel de LBP si sa mai fac odata story-ul.

LBP2 reaches 3.6 million levels online, new sack pack on the way | VG247
Media Molecule has announced over on the US PS Blog that over 3.6 million levels for LittleBigPlanet 2 have been created and posted online.
The level include those made just for fun as well as contests.
Since contests were mentioned, there’s more being held than just the LittleBigPrius one sponsored by Toyota.
