Daca instalarea a fost facuta tot pe PC-ul tau, sau macar pe ceva foarte foarte asemanator, ai ceva sanse sa-l faci sa porneasca. Dar in mod normal nu, trebuie reinstalat (nu de la zero, ci ii faci instalare cu repair).

Eu astept ziua cand se va lansa o noua versiune de Linux care sa fie compatibil cu toate jocurile PC de pe piata.

Din clipa aia , voi arunca discurile de Windows 7 si Windows XP la cosul de gunoi si voi incerca sa uit de atrocitatea numita Windows 10. E bine ca l-au facut gratuit, dar decat sa indur toate problemele si durerile de cap, mai bine il vindeau la 100 euro/licenta standard si puteau sa lanseze un produs finisat.

Microsoft is confirming today that it no longer plans to release Windows 10X. The operating was originally supposed to arrive alongside new dual-screen devices like the Surface Neo, with a more lightweight and simplified interface and features. This was all before the pandemic hit, and Microsoft then decided to prioritize Windows 10X for single-screen laptops instead. Windows 10X is now officially over, and Microsoft is now planning to bring its best bits into Windows 10.

“Instead of bringing a product called Windows 10X to market in 2021 like we originally intended, we are leveraging learnings from our journey thus far and accelerating the integration of key foundational 10X technology into other parts of Windows and products at the company,” confirms John Cable, head of Windows servicing and delivery.

Here are the full new features of the Windows 10 May 2021 Update (version 21H1):

- Windows Hello multicamera support to set the default as the external camera when both external and internal Windows Hello cameras are present.
- Windows Defender Application Guard performance improvements including optimizing document opening scenario times.
- Windows Management Instrumentation (WMI) Group Policy Service (GPSVC) updating performance improvement to support remote work scenarios.

Microsoft typically delivers a big major update of Windows 10 during the springtime, with a smaller one in the fall. The company has reversed that cadence for 2021, so the update that will likely arrive in October will be full of changes.

The next major update will include new system icons, File Explorer improvements, and even the end of Windows 95-era icons. Microsoft has some even broader visual changes arriving in Windows 10, as part of a “sweeping visual rejuvenation of Windows.” The October update will also fix the rearranging apps issue on multiple monitors, add the Xbox Auto HDR feature, and even improve Bluetooth audio support.

Microsoft is ending support for Windows 10 on October 14th, 2025. It will mark just over 10 years since the operating system was first introduced. Microsoft revealed the retirement date for Windows 10 in an updated support life cycle page for the OS.

Clippy is back:

Clippy will now replace the paperclip emoji that exists across Windows, Office, Microsoft Teams, and other Microsoft 365 products. It’s part of a bigger update that will see 1,800 emoji in Microsoft 365 updated with 3D designs and the company’s Fluent Design language.

Clippy is the star of the show, with 3D emoji that have been redesigned to add a lot more personality. “I grew up using Clippy, and it just seemed like a fun little Easter egg,” says Claire Anderson, Microsoft’s official “Emoji-ologist,” in an interview with The Verge. “We just all imagined that delight when you put the paperclip in a Microsoft product and then all of a sudden, you get this dose of nostalgia.” Clippy, with its Groucho eyebrows, will now replace the flat and boring paperclip.

The big change with Microsoft’s emoji is a move to 3D that will show up across Windows and elsewhere. “We opted for 3D designs over 2D and chose to animate the majority of our emoji,” explains Anderson. The emoji have been redesigned to include bright and saturated colors, with a focus on fun in the workplace. The 3D element really makes them pop, and they look a lot more modern than what’s currently available in Windows.

The refreshed emoji will start to appear across all of Microsoft 365 in the coming months. Flipgrid will get access to the new emoji next month, with Microsoft Teams and Windows getting updated in the holiday season. Yammer, Outlook, and other Office apps will see the emoji updates soon after, too.
