Crysis 2

Crysis 2 se afla inca in dezvoltare si va fi lansat pe PC si pentru prima data seria va aparea si pe PS3 si Xbox 360. Inca nu sunt multe detali despre joc, insa cei de la Crytek vor oferi informati despre sequel la gamescom la EA GC Booth Stage.

Since the launch of our teaser trailer back at E3 2009, you've all been asking for more information about Crysis 2. Well, your wish has been granted and now you'll be getting the chance to find out even more about our upcoming title.

Crytek will be presenting some exclusive information about Crysis 2 on the EA GC Booth Stage at gamescom on Thursday 20th August (under a week away!) at 3:15pm. If you can make it to gamescom be sure that you don't miss out on this world wide exclusive. If you can't make it, then don't panic, as we'll be covering whatever is to be shown there.

Crytek has released two new videos demonstrating their still in-development CryEngine 3. The new game engine will be first seen in a retail product in the upcoming Crysis 2.

Cryengine 2 care sta la baza Crysis merge prost pe very high pe sisteme puternice si o sa intalniti sacadari si pe un procesor grafic puternic cum e GTX 285 care e de nu stiu cate ori mai puternic decat placa grafica din PS3, DAR... Cryengine 3 ruleaza perfect pe RSX-ul din PS3. Ba sa ma ia dracu....ce minciuni si ce vrajeala...

Vreau sa vad si eu pe baiatul ala istet cand porneste consola din XMB si lanseaza demo-ul si mai vorbim, ca asa proceseaza pe PC in editor si ruleaza instant pe x360 si pe PS3. Adica nu mai are nevoie sa copieze contentul pe x360/PS3, ruleaza in timp real legat la PC in timp ce ala face modificari in editor. That's bul...t!!!!

Tehnologia evolueaza, uite exemplu COD3 se misca mai sacadat desi are grafica cam proasta iar cod 5 se msica foarte bine si e si mai bun la grafica.Cu crysis 2 va fi acelasi lucru ca si cu far cry 2, pe PC va avea grafica mult mai buna iar pe console imi e imposibil sa cred ca va rula cu mai mult de 30fps desi va avea grafica mai slaba.

atunci ma declar fericit! oricum din ce vad eu arata mai bine decat Killzone 2 (care detine the best graphics on a console, imo). deci sunt multimit de ceea ce vad, i don't want more decat un story solid.

Crysis 2 takes the crisis to New York

The supersuit-enhanced cat has officially leaped out of the bag, folks -- Crysis 2 will be set in New York City. According to a "World Exclusive" Twitter image of the next PlayStation: The Official Magazine's cover (partially seen above), the upcoming sequel plans to give players a chance to blast off the faces of "aliens invading NYC," employing the already teased "Nanosuit 2.0."

As the Crysis 2 cover is set for the March issue of PTOM, we expect to start hearing more details on the sequel over the next few weeks as subscribers start getting their copies (and subsequently begin filling the internet with said details).

• As we already know, Crysis 2 is set in New York. Just not the New York you might be familiar with. It�s 2023 and aliens have devastated the metropolis. Sending in drones like meteors that smash up the environment and leave huge craters, the place is utter chaos.
• London, Rio de Janeiro and Tokyo are all also destroyed and nearly totally �depopulated�. The death toll is rising �by the day.�
• Instead of the shrubbery and foliage of the first Crysis, its sequel uses �broken water pipes, crumbling buildings and torn-up streets� as its environment.
• Crysis 2 has a mucher tighter storyline than its predecessor. Crytek wants players to explore and learn about the stricken world, with BioShock mentioned as a good example of how to engage players through the use of tape-recordings etc. to draw players into the plot. You can find out how people died and how New York was overcome.
• Expect to see skyscrapers with huge holes right through them. The magazine states: �We feel ourselves recalling the 9/11 attacks seen on television.� They go on to say American players will have �lumps in their throats� playing the game.
• Prophet, a leader from the first game, may be the protagonist in the sequel. The survivors of New York think you�re a prophet at least.
• The Nanosuit has four modes. Armour and stealth being two of them. The HUD will change depending on the mode currently activated.
• With massive craters, vertical combat elements are a possibility.
• Grand Central Station features as a military base.
• North Koreans also feature. And they�re not friendly.
• There are multiple ways to play the game. From guns blazing, to tactical and stealth methods. Alternate routes are possible through numerous challenges.
• The tone of the game is much darker than the first game. Grimy and dank, the magazine compares the look of the sequel to Stalker: Shadow of Chernobyl.
• The Power Mode of the Nanosuit allows you to move super-fast and jump across the rooftops of shattered buildings.
• Stealth mode allows you to turn invisible as before. �Tactics Mode� allows you to monitor your environment and find cool stuff.
• The ethereal beings of Crysis 1 are not so much around anymore. The aliens stand on two feet and are encased in armour. The new enemies are likened to Predators.
• While still linear, Crysis 2 tries to mix things up a little and won�t be as much �on rails� as the first game.
• Multi-player will be huge. Customisable Nanosuits are on the cards.
• The magazine only got a look at the 360 version but they already claim it is one of the best looking games they have ever seen.
• The current status is that both console versions are running at 1280 x 720. �Soft shadows and ambient shading (ambient occlusion) provide the perfect contrast.�
• The PC version looks even better. Apparently.
• The game has very high resolution textures, including three-dimensional surface (parallax mapping and normal maps) that permeate the game world. Water, among other things such as wave and wind simulation, are also taken to the next level.
