Zvon: Playstation tablet?

Iarasi o luam de la capat, dupa ce luni de zile pe internet circulau zvonuri despre un PS3 Slim, PSP2 sau un PSP Phone, care din fericire s-au si adeverit, acum sunt zvonuri conform carora Playstation se pregateste sa lanseze un tablet. Site-ul engadget.com sustine ca informatile provin din 2 surse sigure "two highly trusted and independent sources" si ca Playstation incearca sa concureze cu cei de la Apple si Samsung. Deocamdata numele de cod al prototipului este "S1", iar ca sistem de operaer va utiliza Android 3.0. Ecranul va avea o diagonala de 9.4 inch (24 cm) cu o rezolutie de 1,280 x 800 pixels si bineinteles va fi touch screen. Device-ul va avea acces la PlayStation Suite si la jocurile oferite de aceast servici. Pretul va fi in jur de $599 si o posibila lansare ar fi in toamna acestui an.

Anul asta o sa vedem o groaza de tablet-uri lansate. Fanii Android or sa fie happy, in special dupa versiunea 3.0. Fanii Microsoft inca asteapta... Intrebarea este: vor face fata toate cele la iPad 2? Avand in vedere ca Apple cu un singur device, intrun singur an, detine cam 75% din piata... e greu de ghicit succesul unui tablet de la Sony. Dar daca ne gandim ca au deja device-uri (gen rama foto multifunctionala)... au deja PlayStation Suite... e mai mult decat simplu sa intre si ei pe piata. Ramane de vazut cat de eficient. Si daca nu cumva suprasatureaza piata si cu PSP Go, NGP, Tablet...

Sony lining up Qriocity S1 tablet

Sony's tablet is expected out in September
With pretty much everyone else having joined the tablet jamboree, it’s no real surprise to hear whispered rumours that Sony has a slate of its own in the pipelines that should hit the streets in the second half of this year.
According to Engadget, the Sony tablet will feature a 9.4in screen and will run Android 3.0 Honeycomb – no surprise there. Like most other Android clients, though, Sony will give Google’s OS a bit of a makeover, a job that’s currently underway by Sony’s PlayStation, Vaio and Reader development teams, with the help of mobile partner Sony Ericsson.
The report claims that the device will appear on the market under the name Qriocity S1 – using the title of Sony’s recently launched media streaming service. This suggests that it will very much be a device focused on entertainment rather than productivity.
It’ll also take on a fair amount of the gaming smarts present on the Sony Ericsson Xperia Play, and will no doubt have plenty of graphics clout too with the help of Sony’s Bravia arm.
It sounds like a formidable tablet contender, and if Engadget’s report is accurate Sony is hoping to get it on the shelves by around September.
