Criterion Games will boost the Need for Speed series back to its former glory. With the Burnout developer EA has just the right team at the start and first video already promise you very much. Via Twitter Criterion Games has answered some questions from fans and reveal new details about the game.

Here are some Tweets of the last days in brief:

• Need for Speed: Hot Pusuit is definitely an open world game, but far better than Paradise City.
• There is no tuning and upgrade options give the vehicles.
• Similarly, there is no customization of the vinyls and decals will be. "One would like a brand new Gallardo is not deface, right?"
• Plans can be wrecked police vehicles, like any other car.
• Ferrari will not be there as a brand, but almost only exotic models.
• The game has two campaigns, one for police and one for the hunted. Both are about the same length.
• Need for Speed: Hot Pursuit Custom Soundtrack support.
• The chase takes place all over the map, not on predetermined routes.
• There is no cockpit view in the cars.
• There will be no split-screen mode to give, but only the online multiplayer.
• Need for Speed: Hot Pursuit is the only game on the Criterion works. Criterion is only a small team, so you do not have time for another game.

nu inteleg de ce nu fac si astea ? nu ar fi mai fun in split-screen ? sau sa poti modifica masini ?

Burnout Paradise nu a avut nimic din ce e acolo si a fost destul de fun dupa parerea mea. Nu vad de ce ar baga ceva din lista aia.

ca o parere personala, m-am jucat Bournout Paradise de maxim 10 ori si in tot timpul asta, am gasit sute de motode de a ma face praf. asta m-a atras la el. aici nici macar acest lucru nu va fi.

Lipsa tuning-ului nu ma deranjeaza foarte tare. Oricum nu sunt un fan al tuning-ului, prefer masina cum e din start, fara bling-uri. Desigur ar fi fost util un sistem de upgrade al performantei, cum e in TDU. Nu cred ca ar fi fost greu de realizat. Mi-ar fi placut o vedere din cockpit, NFS: Hot Pursuit era unul dintre motivele pentru care vroiam un volan. Intotdeauna mi-a placut sa joc din cockpit, da o oarecare senzatie de realism, chiar daca gameplay-ul e 100% arcade. Mi-ar fi placut split-screen sau macar un mod ca Party Mode din Burnout Paradise. Cine stie, poate le vine mintea la cap si o sa-l faca. Absenta Ferrari este pentru mine un minus, intotdeauna mi-a placut Ferrari mai mult decat Lamborghini sau Porsche.
Dupa ce am citit acolo... nu sunt foarte sigur daca fac pre-order. Poate o sa fie ceva grozav, dar lipsesc niste elemente care pot face dintr-un racing bun, un joc excelent. Eu tot am incredere in Criterion ca o sa iasa ceva bun, doar ca nu va iesi unul dintre cele mai bune jocuri de gen... ever.

Mersi Criterion ca lasa tunning-ul si bling-blingul pentru alte jocuri. Esta parerea mea si nu sariti pe mine ca nu are rost. Asta nu e Underground. Este alt stil de joc care se adreseaza altor categorii de jucatori.

Lipsa cockpit-ului in schimb este dezamagitoare, dar nu stiu cum poti sa joci din masina si sa poti sa te uiti si stanga-dreapta la masinile de politie de pe langa tine.

man, nu ma refer la bling-bling-uri, ca nu le suport. Ma refer la clasica, customizare, care este si in shift, chiar si pe iphone. sa mai schimbi o bara mai agresiva, un body kit, macar cate 2-3 niveluri automate sa fi avut. nu sa fie totul asa fad. toti sa aibe masini la fel, sa difere doar culorile.

Din cate stiu eu nici primul NFS: Hot Pursuit nu a fost tuning exterior si jocul a avut un mare succes.

pai da, dar lumea evolueaza. asta ar insemna sa ne limitam mereu la ce a fost, pentru a fi un "remake" bun ?
