Probabil a fost un update post-launch, însă acum la calibrare este o funcție foarte utilă care vă ajută în a avea o experiență cât mai plăcută cu VR, cand faceți ajustările de play area a apărut o funcție pe care nu o mai văzusem înainte în care setezi înălțimea ta.

Pentru cei înalți era o problemă, eu mereu in jocuri stăteam câteva secunde cu vreo 15cm mai jos și dădeam resetarea camerei pentru a avea înălțimea dorită. Acum pare totul perfect.

Pam Pam: Sony is now testing PSVR 2 support for PC.

Sony’s PlayStation VR2 headset is designed to work exclusively with a PS5, but the company is now testing out support for PC. While the original PSVR headset got unofficial support for PC, Sony now says it’s working on allowing PSVR 2 owners to connect the headset to a PC gaming rig.

“We’re pleased to share that we are currently testing the ability for PS VR2 players to access additional games on PC to offer even more game variety in addition to the PS VR2 titles available through PS5,” says Sony in a blog post today. “We hope to make this support available in 2024, so stay tuned for more updates.”

Up until now, Sony had been dodging questions about getting the PlayStation VR2 headset working on a PC. We asked Sony about PSVR 2 support for PC a year ago, but the company would only say “the PSVR2 is created for use with the PS5 console.” When we tested the headset on a PC last year, it was picked up as a second screen by Windows, but SteamVR didn’t recognize the headset.

Modders have been trying to get the PSVR 2 working on a PC ever since its launch, with iVRy attempting to reverse engineer the hardware. We’ve reached out to Sony to clarify exactly what “access additional games on PC” means and whether the support will be limited to certain games. We’ll update you accordingly.

Sony Group Corp. has paused production of its PSVR2 headset until it clears a backlog of unsold units, according to people familiar with its plans, adding to doubts about the appeal of virtual reality gadgets.

Sales of the $550 wearable accessory to the PlayStation 5 have slowed progressively since its launch and stocks of the device are building up, according to the people, who asked not to be named as the information is not public. Sony has produced well over 2 million units of the product launched in February of last year, the people said.

Eu abia astept acest lucru, HL Alyx va fi primul joc incercat.

Este curios ca pare a fi un adaptor, VR2 ar fi putut sa fie compatibil perfect si fara acest adaptor, aproape toata lumea are la PC un port USB-C.

Din cate stiu, problema cu PSVR-ul pe PC e ca poate doar sa replice 1-la-1 screen-ul si nu neaparat sa intre in actual VR mode sa poti sa ai experienta care trebuie. Mi-e neclar daca adaptorul asta o sa faca ce trebuie cand pare o chestie de drivere mai degraba, dar sigur stiu ei mai bine ca mine. Oricum, e bine ca vor sa continuie cu support-ul, vreau sa iau PSVR2 pentru GT7 si ar fi bonus daca m-as putea juca pe PC cu el.

Feature differences with PS VR2 on PS5

PS VR2 was designed from the ground up specifically for PS5 – so you’ll notice that some key features, like HDR, headset feedback, eye tracking, adaptive triggers, and haptic feedback (other than rumble), are not available when playing on PC.

However, other high-fidelity and sensory immersion features of PS VR2 are supported, including 4K visuals (2000 x 2040 per eye), 110-degree field of view, finger touch detection, and see-through view, as well as foveated rendering (without eye tracking) and 3D Audio in supported games. The 3D Audio experience uses SteamVR’s audio technology instead of Tempest 3D AudioTech, which is only supported on PS5.

Sources close to Android Central have revealed that Sony is making deep cuts to funding for VR games. While I'll paraphrase for anonymity, my source was told that there will be very few opportunities for VR game development at Sony going forward.

To back that up, another source informed me that only two PSVR 2 games are in development at Sony. Given the state of the games industry with constant layoffs and studio closings, I don't exactly feel confident that even these games will ever see the light of day if Sony continues on its current trajectory.

Mi-am luat HL Alyx (este la super preț pe Steam , 21euro) și vreau să am pregătit și adaptorul pentru momentul in care îl voi juca.

Primele impresii sunt foarte bune, calitatea tracking-ului și cea a imaginii s-ar simți mai bine pe PC, depinzând sigur și de specificațiile lui.
