VG247 – Mafia II demo planned for PC, PS3 and 360

Take-Two CEO Ben Feder has said that when Mafia II releases on August 24 it will redefine the genre, by totally replicating the 1940’s and 50’s in realistic style and will be playable in full at E3 next week.

The firm also confirmed during the call the investors tonight that a demo for the game will be released in August on PC, PS3 and 360 as part of a massive advertising campaign.

It's not just Microsoft paying for exclusive content for games. Sony has joined the party as well. Mafia II will feature exclusive content for the PS3 at launch. We're talking maps and weapons and stuff. I wish I could tell you more, but they were totally vague on that.

Cum d-zeu sa puna physX in console cand:
1.Este tehnologie NVIDIA, bazata pe arhitectura placilor din seria 8.
2.Placa video din PS3 are arhitectura placilor video din seria 7 NVIDIA, iar Xbox-ul are chipset grafic ATi.
2.PhysX are nevoie de cel putin 48 pixelshaders ca sa functioneze. Da, PS3-ul are 32 parca, xbox-ul 48 dar asta inseamna ca nu mai ramane nimic pentru restul procesarii grafice. Eu zic ca o sa fie diferente considerabile intre console si PC.

Pentru posesorii PC cu procesor core iMamaMa-sii, pentaSLI 480GTX, enshpe mii de rami DDR5 si mai stiu eu ce alte componente astronomice se vor bucura de toata splendoarea jocului. Sa nu uitam ca e motorul grafic din GTA IV. Eu cu quad core q9000 si NVIDIA GeForce GT240M nu ma pot juca cu peste 23-24 fps nici medium detalii GTA.
Pe scurt, sunt sceptic si presimt ca framerate-ul la console va fi acelasi ca la GTA (catre unplayable)

Sa-nteleg ca, desi producatorii se bat cu pumnii-n piept ca vom avea physX si pe PS3, aceasta functie va lipsi cu desavarsire?

Pai cum poti spune ca framerate-ul la console va fi prea mic? uitate la gameplay e de pe xbox iar framerate-ul este acceptabil
