In ce galaxie?


nvm...dar imi doresc un prequel la Mass Effect. Vreau o poveste despre perioada cand oamenii au colonizat Luna si Marte, au gasit acele relicve protheane si au ajuns sa colonizeze intregul sistem solar, adica toate lunile planetelor gigantice gazoase. Si spre final sa includa primul contact si chiar razboiul cu Turienii.
Asta ar fi interesant.

Andromeda n-a avut protagonist femeie. Puteai sa alegi sa joci cu ambii, frate/sora. Fie biferzi punctajul zilnic de troll posts, fie pur si simplu n-ai jucat jocul.

Am glumit putin. Am jucat toate jocurile fara sa mai termin Andromeda si obisnuit fiind cu personajul principal masculin, m-a amuzat cumva schimbarea.

Publisher Electronic Arts and developer BioWare are seriously considering using Unreal Engine for the next game in the Mass Effect series. This information primarily comes from an EA job listing for a technical director for Mass Effect 5. That post says the publisher is looking for candidates who have “experience with Unreal Engine [or higher].” I’ve confirmed through multiple sources that this is because everything is on the table when it comes to tech for a new Mass Effect — and that includes potentially replacing EA’s in-house Frostbite engine with Unreal.

BioWare built the first three Mass Effect games on Unreal, which is a bundle of tools that devs can license from Epic Games to put together new games. For Mass Effect: Andromeda, BioWare switched to EA’s Frostbite, which developer DICE originally created for its Battlefield shooters. But Mass Effect — and BioWare’s followup Anthem — lost something in the transition from Unreal to Frostbite, and that was apparent in elements like ambient world animation. Where a nightclub in the original Mass Effect would have dozens of dancing characters, Anthem’s characters would remain motionless and still until you approached them. [...]

One of EA’s most popular games since it started shifting all its projects to Frostbite was Respawn Entertainment’s Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order, which Respawn built using Unreal. [...]

But a larger consideration is that EA wants BioWare armed and ready for building a modern Mass Effect game years from now. That means accepting that Frostbite could end up extremely out of date by the time work starts in earnest on Mass Effect 5. [...]

BioWare is currently working on Dragon Age 4. That game is still on track for a 2023 release, according to my sources. That would likely mean we wouldn’t see Mass Effect 5 until at least 2025. And even in that optimistic scenario, Frostbite could look creaky and ancient compared to something like Unreal Engine 5. [...]

Since we last spoke about the next Mass Effect™ game, pre-production development has been proceeding very well. The team, comprised of Mass Effect franchise veterans as well as some amazing new additions to BioWare™, has grown steadily! They’ve been hard at work crafting new characters and locations that you’ll love, as well as revisiting many that you’ll remember.

For now, there is something we want you to have a look at. We’ve intercepted some strange footage from one of the monitoring stations in known space. It could be nothing, but…

Mi-ar fi placut mai mult un Mass Effect prequel, cand primii astronauti ajung pe Marte si descopera relicvele civilizatiei proteene, si apoi se duceau pana pe Pluto unde descopereau mass-relay-ul pentru a putea calatori in galaxie mai repede decat viteza luminii.

In timeline-ul de pe wikifandom scrie ca:

• in 2069 au colonizat Luna
• in 2070 a fost expeditia catre Alpha Centauri care a esuat
• in 2103 au colonizat Marte
• in 2143 au construit statie langa Pluto
• in 2148 au descoperit tehnologia proteeana pe Marte
• in 2149 au descoperit mass-relay-ul de langa Pluto
• in 2157 oamenii s-au batut cu turienii

Intervalul asta e interesant si ar scoate o trilogie spectaculoasa cu un personaj nou a carei poveste sa se intinda pe 10 ani, de la 2149 pana in 2157. Poate chiar pe 50 ani cand oamenii descopera cum sa-si prelungeasca tineretea si viata cu implanturi.
