The setting is a world roughly 300 years after the end of a great conflict known as THE CLAMITY WAR.

Mikazuki Angus is an orphan with no family, who wouldn't hesitate to sacrifice himself to protect his comrades. And Orga Itsuka is someone who cares for his comrades, has a strong sense of responsibility, and is respected by one and all. They have been tegother since childhood, and the bond between them is stronger than that of brothers. These two protagonists are the axis around which the story develops.

The Gundam Barbatos starts out as an incomplete mobile suit, but as it goes through the fires of war along with Mikazuki and the others, it becomes stronger by adding on armor and weapons from defeated enemy mobile suits.
