Capcom will introduce a full story mode to
Street Fighter 5 via a free update this summer but the publisher may introduce additional modes to the fighting game.
Speaking to Forbes, a Capcom representative revealed that the company is reviewing the possibility of introducing an Arcade Mode at some point in the future.
“The team is looking into adding an Arcade Mode and we’ll have more information to share soon,” the spokesperson commented. Additional details about the mode or when it might be implemented were not announced.
Street Fighter 5 released last week without an Arcade Mode – which has been a staple of previous games in the franchise. The scarcity of game modes was more obvious due to the absence of modes which have been present in the series since its earliest days.
Capcom’s representative also revealed that the company is considering the options for adding difficulty sliders to the existing story mode in
Street Fighter 5. The full story mode is set to be released in June as a free update.
