Emulator de Game Boy ar putea ajunge pe Xbox One

Userul Reddit peterthepancakeeater a reusit performanta de a instala un emulator al consolei Game Boy numit VBA10 pe consola Xbox One (care nu este setata ca "devkit"). Din pacate la pornire aplicatia se bloca la loading screen. Acesta fiind in Preview Program a primit zilele acestea un update, iar aplicatia a fost stearsa. Toata aceasta nebunie a inceput in momentul in care userul a dat instalarea programulul CC Player pe laptopul personal, aceasta aplicatie fiind universala UWP a instalat VBA10 automat si pe consola.

Ne duce cu gandul ca incepand din toamna, odata cu Aniversary Update la Windows 10 si Xbox One vom puteam avea acces pe langa aplicatiile normale din Windows Store pe Xbox si la emulatoare ale consolelor/jocurilor vechi si clasice.

so I've just installed an app called CC Player Pro on my laptop (wanted to try it cause it is currently free as a part of MyAppFree deal), my xboxone was on at the time and I got a popup saying the app is ready... the app won't run (it is getting stuck on loading screen), but clearly MS is working on bringing UWP apps to the new environment. I'll try to take some screenshots later.

(update 2) ok, so here is how I did it: 1. prerequisites - xbox one running on a latest preview build, windows 10 machine (probably requires to be in the insider program as well, I have build 14352.rs1), both logged in with same live account; 2. open the store on your windows 10 machine; 3. search for any of the following: cc player pro, perfect movies, perfect tube (or other UWP apps, some install ok, some don't) and install it; 4. watch the magic happens on your xbox one :-)
(update 3) no, my console is not set as "dev kit"
(update 4) well, my laptop got upgraded to newer build 14361.rs1 and looks like this "feature" is now disabled, I'm gonna keep trying though ;-)
