There are reports of this bricking Slim consoles, do not attempt to downgrade a Slim console with this method. Older Fat PS3's are reporting no issues. Also, after downgrading to 3.41 with this method, your PS3 will think its a 3.56 console. Once on 3.41 it is recommended that you then downgrade the traditional way to 3.15 firmware, and then upgrade the traditional way to 3.41 official firmware.
Please note you CANNOT use these files if you bought a PS3 that came stock with FW 3.50. DO NOT DO IT. STOP NOW.
If you have a fat PS3 with 256MB NAND you will need to back up your dev_flash folders, as you WILL LOSE BLURAY PLAYBACK. (on my FAT model i restored the DRL1 and DRL2 files in del_flash(2?) I did get to however keep all of my signed 3.55-jb homebrew, and it all works in retail mode except of course backup managers)
In the XMB perform a system backup to save installed Homebrew you may have and gamesaves etc.. to an external device (i did this with my slim and it worked perfectly, all my installed signed homebrew from 3.55-jb works in retail 3.41 now)
make a COMPLETE backup of your HDD on your ps3 using ftp, although i dont think installed packages can be moved back over simply by ftp. i only tested the first method.
Downgrade from 3.55 to 3.41 and Earlier
I highly recommend you back up your flash to prevent loss of blu-ray playback.

Veţi avea nevoie de un dongle downgrader
1 Deconectaţi sau opriţi consola de la curent
2. Copiaza fisierul downgrade.bin pe E3 upgrade disk - download : http://e3card-china.com/Downloads.html, fisierul E3downgrader fix BD
3. Bagati jailbreak-ul in usb-ul de la consola si porniti consola folosind metoda boot jailbreak, consola PS3 ar trebui să se opri �n mod automat
4 OPTIONAL - Porniţi pe PS3 pentru a verifica dacă vă aflaţi �n Modul Service apoi opriti PS3-ul
5 Pe un sub stick formatat FAT32 puneti fisierele PS3UPDAT.PUP (3.41 PUP)si b. Lv2Diag.self (File 1) şi conectaţi la portul din dreapta de la consola
6. Puneti numai fisierele in radacina stick-ului
7. Introduceti apoi USB stick-ul �n primul port USB �n partea dreapta a consolei. Porniti PS3-ul si veti vedea ecranul negru fara semnal video la Tv, dar HDD-ul va clipi.
8. Procesul de downgrade dureaza 3-4 minute pentru a instala firmware-ul vechi, respectiv fw 3.41. Cand procesul de downgrade s-a incheiat consola se va opri singura.
9. Scoateti stick-ul USB si porniti consola. Ea va fi �nca �n Service Mode. Verificati daca aveti fw 3.41
10. Introduceti USB stick-ul �napoi �n PC si stergeti fisierele PUP si Lv2Diag.self (File 1) si copiati pe stick fisierul Lv2Diag.self (File 2)
11. Introduceti USB stick-ul �napoi �n acelasi port USB de pe PS3 si porniti consola. Dupa 10 secunde se va opri.
12. Scoateti USB stick-ul si porniti din nou consola. Reprogramati jailbreak-ul pentru mod jailbreak.
