DICE: ‘Battlefield 3 on Xbox 360 is going to look really, really good’

Even before the recently leaked Battlefield 3 Xbox 360 alpha footage appeared on YouTube a few days ago, speculation about how this particular version will look was already in full swing. In a recent interview with VideoGamer, DICE general manager Karl-Magnus Troedsson, explained that Xbox 360 owners have nothing to worry about…
“The problem is we don’t want people to experience the game through a crappy YouTube video with a 320200 resolution, or something like that,” Troedsson told VideoGamer.com. “We want people to see this game in the great HD way that we want people to see it, of course.”
“I’d follow that up by saying that they don’t have to worry. The game is going to look really, really good on 360 as well, and we want to show them that now and up until launch.”
“I mean, we have to select which platforms we’re going to show it on, and there might be a lot of reasons behind it, but I don’t think people should worry about the 360,” he explained.

Troedsson followed up by saying the Battlefield 3 beta will be coming out “very shortly”, and that 360 owners will get to see just how well the game will look and play on the system. Troedsson didn’t reveal the date the beta will begin, but we can only assume it will start within the next couple of weeks. The only thing we can do now is wait…and wait we will.
