Developer resumes spotted by Siliconera indicate that inFAMOUS: Second Son will be a PlayStation 4 launch title.
The open-world superhero romp, set seven years after the events of inFAMOUS 2, was revealed at last month's PlayStation Meeting and PS4 reveal. The first clue to Second Son's release date comes via rendering programmer Nathan Reed, whose resume once noted that inFAMOUS: Second Son is a "PS4 launch title" set to ship in "4Q 2013." The revealing details have since been removed from the resume file, but IGN capped a screen of it.
The second detail, via Senior Sound Designer Andy Martin's Linkedin profile, echoes Second Son's supposed 2013 timing.
We previously reported on Second Son's story and setting. The game casts players as Delsin Rowe, a Conduit with the ability to manipulate and transform into smoke. Rowe gains his abilities after rescuing survivors of a fiery bus wreck. His adventures take place in Seattle, which (like much of the country and world) has been radically altered with anti-Conduit attitudes following the canonical ending of inFAMOUS 2, which would seem to be Cole MacGrath's evil ending.
