As long you open the shutter speed as much noise you get on the sensor. It's kind of increasing ISO with evry passing minute.
Take Care and Good Luck!
Edit: S-a rezolvat misterul...
you've not described what you see, but the magic search term you need may be 'banding'
Canon has produced a couple of cameras in recent years which produce the effect.
the 7D is one of them - and caused by both sensor design and image processing decisions made by canon.
However its hard to always distinguish in individual cases whether this genuinely problematic (i.e. bad and obvious structures in the image caused by a faulty sensor / image processing step - it happens occasionally to all camera and brands) or the more usual very discrete effect present to a lesser degree in all cameras of the type which has been exacerbated by abusive processing or unreasonable expectations (pixel peeping and misunderstandings of what is possible in imaging)
most users - even critical RAW users probably don't bump into the 'normal' banding in the 7D either because ordinary exposures have none, or because they are so discrete that even when present they are not visible in most images.
Large even toned areas in underexposed locations can show the effect, which is then amplified when undertaking insensitive post-processing.
