    Cum e posibil ca toti oamenii random de pe forumuri si youtube sa inteleaga problemele consolelor mai bine decat companiile care le produc si care, probabil, au sute de analisti de piata al caror job e fix asta?

    Cred ca singurul motiv pentru care Sony o duce asa bine generatia asta e faptul ca Xbox nu mai exista, lasandu-le monopol pe console.

    O analiza absolut excelenta, cea mai buna analiza de fapt pe care am vazut-o pana acum legata de starea industriei din ziua de astazi. Nu numai ca se pupa cu semnele pe care le-am vazut si eu dar face si debunk la unele teorii mult prea populare iar concluzia de la sfarsit este una 100% legit. Il recomand cu caldura.

    Mi s-a parut ca a spus lucruri adevarate, dar nu a reusit sa faca o conexiune logica intre facts si situatia dubioasa in care se afla industria de gaming. In mod normal cu orice produs din lumea asta, atunci cand oferta creste exagerat asa cum zice el, si deci concurenta devine acerba, produsul devine din ce in ce mai bun si clientii au de castigat. A postat Ronan un clip despre Avowed vs Skyrim - attention to detail, si e foarte evident ca aceasta crestere a calitatii nu exista, dincolo de progresul grafic datorat mai degraba placilor video mai bune.

    Practic el in clip vine cu niste premize de bun simt:
    • P1: Apar de 5 ori mai multe jocuri decat acum 10 ani.
    • P2: Atunci cand apar mai multe jocuri, concurenta creste.
    • P3: Atunci cand concurenta creste, jocurile devin tot mai scumpe, iar pretul de vanzare ramane la fel.
    • P4: Atunci cand bugetul creste, calitatea ar trebui sa creasca (pentru ca platesti mai multi oameni sau oameni mai talentati care vor salarii mai mari, ai mai mult timp de dezvoltare etc.).
    • Concluzie rationala: jocurile devin din ce in ce mai bune, fiecare nou RPG o sa stearga pe jos cu Skyrim pentru ca are buget tripul si concurenta acerba.
    • Realitatea: majoritatea jocurilor devin tot mai proaste si low effort (how ???)

    Nu mi se pare ca a explicat deloc in clip cum s-a ajuns de la premizele astea la realitatea [iratioanala] a in care ne aflam, in loc de concluzia pertinenta care ar trebui sa fie. Si nici nu poate sa explice el cum s-a ajuns aici fara putin insider knowledge, pentru ca motivele reale sunt mult mai sumbre si adanc inradacinate in cultura corporate americana in principal, dar si in unele companii europene.

    Tocmai ce-am primit câteva materiale promoționale pentru documentarul și proiectul #TerrorBytes: The Evolution of Horror Gaming, la care am avut onoarea să contribui și eu. Este vorba despre peste două ore și jumătate de conținut video (interviuri cu oameni de marcă din domeniu și nu numai, etc). Dacă este cineva interesat să le vizioneze și să își împărtășească impresiile, îl rog sa-mi ea un PM. Feedback-ul vostru este extrem de apreciat și poate ajunge în proiectul final
