Insa e mai lent la boot decat Mavericks. Pe SSD cu vreo 2 sec mai lent. Doreaza vreo 20 sec cu totul boot-ul.

eu inchid imac-ul, ma gandesc ca ii protejez sursa (cat sta in sleep trebuie sa produca tensiune mai multa decat atunci cand e oprit, trebuie sa alimenteze ram-ul, etc...)
cashonly: din experienta iti spun, pica mai des sursele la cei care inchid/deschid PC-urile de n ori pe zi, decat la cei care le tin non-stop pornite. Desigur, cu conditia sa ai o linie de curent serioasa (stabila) sau un UPS.
In alta ordine de idei, eu am dat de un client care nici nu stia ca un MacBook se poate inchide. Mergea de cativa ani (no updates though - pentru ca nici pe acelea nu stia sa le faca). "Noroc" ca i-am facut upgrade de HDD, caz in care a trebuit restartat
Trefla: nu neg lucrul acesta, dar totusi la un monitor, al carui spate nu prea il vezi... in afara de piciorul lui si sigla LG nu prea vezi nimic diferit. Ba chiar imi place mai mult LG-ul acela ca are bezel-ul mai mic, si nu e atat de glossy. In rest, Apple foloseste panel-uri LG, asa ca n-ar fi mare branza. Pretul insa e un pic prohibitiv...

Pentru ca tot se discuta de iMac-uri, al meu sta tot timpul pornit, de ~4 ani, il mai opresc ocazional... si nu am avut nicio problema cu el pina acum.
Daca nu ma insel, chiar si in documentatia care vine cu el se recomanda a se opri doar daca nu-l folosesti citeva zile la rand...
La ora actuala cu Power Nap, e chiar recomandat de ținut in sleep.
Sunt alternative mai ieftine care nu sunt LG. Nu sunt impresionat, mai ales ca la banii aia iau direct un iMac.Originally Posted by MonkY
Mda...mie-mi merge mult mai greu mac-u dupa update-ul la Yosemite si am cam 1 freeze la 2 zile (trebe sa-l inchid fortat pentru a-si reveni), imi merge mai greu absolt tot si am probmele cu anumite aplicatii care se "strica" si trebe sa le reinstalez pentru a functiona.
Am zis initial ca este de la faptul ca nu-l mai inchisesem de ceva timp si am reinceput sa-l inchid in fiecare seara si vad ca tot se blocheaza.
Inteleg, e procesor generatie veche, i7 cu doar 2 core-uri, dar mi se pare cam aiurea...
