PS3center.net - Story: Not All Cars in GT5 Will Have A Cockpit View
There has been much debate over what the difference between Standard and Premium cars would be in GT5. Speculation has run rampant ever since the distinction was announced, but a new article from Eurogamer got the facts straight from Kazunori Yamauchi's mouth.
Of the 1,000 cars in GT5, 800 will be Standard while 200 will be Premium. As expected, the Standard models will be cars found in GT4 and GTPSP, upscaled and optimized for the PS3, while Premium models will show a ridiculous amount of detail: "every single screw is visible in the hubs, the interiors have been recreated down to the stitching, and their undersides have been comprehensively modelled to take into account a new physics system which, along with allowing for dents and scratches, can sends your ride flipping through the air during collisions."
Unfortunately, there is one more key distinction between the two types of cars: Standard cars will not sport an interior view. This is quite a dissappointment, as one of the key innovations that increased immersion in GT5 was the cockpit. Considering that GT5 has been in development for 5 years, it had been hoped that PD would include interiors on all cars, despite the high car count. Oh well, maybe in GT6?
i'm super hyped againtrailer-ul e realizat excelent ! perfecta data de lansare !

GT5’s Photomode, Online Features, NASCAR, & More Details Revealed
EuroGamer has shared their detailed hands-on impressions with the latest E3 2010 GT5 demo, and its full of quite a few interesting and revealing tidbits of information. While I have covered the main points below, the full article contains more detail and is very well written, so head on over there for more.
Over 800 of the cars will be standard, the majority of which have been brought from previous GT titles. Despite the nomenclature, they still look great all of the classic muscle cars we saw in the latest batch of screenshots are all standard. However, according to the article, standard cars wont have interiors.
There are 200 premium cars which take the final count past the 1000 mark. In addition to highly detailed interiors, the undersides of the cars have also been modeled and will be visible when the car is flipping through the air thanks to the new physics engine.
There will be 9 NASCAR models available, and you will be able to race by NASCARs specific rules. The article describes the NASCAR crashes as truly epic yet still artful in Yamacuhis universe.
Each individual circuit can take as long as two and a half years to build.
The new Photo Travel mode where you take a car to a picturesque location other than a race track now allows you to virtually walk around the environment to help you get the best angle.
Online community features include a BBS, personal logs, mail, and something called My Lounge. You will be able to monitor your friends progress, set up private races with them, and spectate on live online races that are already underway from any camera angle, while focusing on any players car that you want.
The combination of 3D visuals and head-tracking with the PS Eye was described as astonishing.

Come on, sa se arate

More GT5 Details: High/Low Beams, Dynamic Crowds, No BBQ Smell
EuroGamer was first to share new details that emerged from the private GT5 presentation Yamauchi hosted at E3 on Wednesday, and now weve got even more information from MotorTrend, Kotaku, IGN, and GameSpot. Now, in addition to the new details Ive already covered, heres what we know:
- Polyphony Digital is working on reducing load times and is still tweaking graphics ahead of the November release date.
- The game has nearly filled all of the space available on Blu-Ray disc.
- Youll have the option to synchronize the games time of day with the tracks current local time.
- The crowds will be dynamic, so there will be more tents, cars, and motorhomes at longer races.
- Yamauchi admits his team may have actually gone too far in modeling some of this detail and suggested it might be more suited to the next generation of PlayStation.
- Both high and low-beam headlights will be included, so you can flash slower cars as youre about to pass them (how awesome will this be during the 24 hour races!?!). All lights will illuminate dirt, smoke, or other debris in the air.
- NASCAR insisted that all of their series cars be playable on all circuits in the game.
- It was previously mentioned that only 9 NASCAR cars will be included, but this was incorrect. There are simply 9 cars in the E3 2010 demo, but many more are coming.
- With the exception of profanity, all of the Nurburgrings graffiti has been re-created, just as it is in real life. According to Kotaku, they will attempt to keep the graffiti up-to-date before the game is shipped.
- Players will be able to maintain an online profile to share and watch friends progress and statistics.
- All cars (including standard models) will accumulate dirt and will have functional horns.
- All cars will have functioning reverse lights.
- More information will be revealed at Gamescom in Germany on August 18-22.
- More Formula 1 teams will bring their cars to the game, in addition to Ferrari.
While racing the 24 hours of Nurburgring, you can smell peoples barbecues we couldnt recreate that. Kazunori Yamauchi
