    Nici macar partea de fizica a masinilor nu e justificat sa ia atat de mult. Si aici e vorba de creat o platforma la care aduci modificari in functie de fiecare masina in parte, nu e ca si cum programeaza de la zero fiecare masina in parte. Toate masinile functioneaza dupa aceleasi principii de baza pana la urma. 5 ani my a$$.

    Normal ca nu, dar pot fi cu totul alti factori care fac jocul sa nu mai apara. Unul, maaare de tot, legat de bani, ar fi includerea in joc a cat mai multe masini aparute pe parcursul unui an. Iti dai seama ca e important pentru producatorul X ca noul sau model Y sa intre pe mana a milioane de jucatori din lume. Sa fim noi sanatosi la cate reclama si-au facut Ferrari si Mercedes in ultimele luni in trailerele GT5.

    Oricum, inainte sa-mi sariti in cap, serios, cautati si intrebati pe cineva cu experiante in 3D cam cat ar dura modelarea si texturarea unei masini. Sa-l intrebati de hi-poly modelling, reducerea la lowpoly, normal mapping, tot tacamul.

    PD a ajuns la acelasi nivel ca si Blizzard : orice scot si oricat de mult timp le-ar lua sa le faca , tot se vor vinde in milioane de exemplare . Asa ca nu au niciun motiv sa se grabeasca . " When it's done " a rasunat si la Diablo , si la WoW , iar daca il intrebi pe Gabe Newell de la Valve pe cand putem astepta noul Half Life , iti va raspunde la fel . Asa ca relaxati-va si bucurati-va de vara , sau de beta la FF XIV , sau de bruneta de la etajul 5 , orice e mai indicat decat asteptarea cu gura cascata dupa un joc .

    Diesel, ai uitat de cateva aspecte la care s-a lucrat in acesti ani:
    - 3D
    - PS MOVE
    - Yamauchi racing in the Lexus - ISF (time and money consuming )

    intre timp au lucrat si la GT PSP. nu ii iau apararea, dar merita luate in considerare toate aceste aspecte si sincer nu cred ca poti evalua corect daca nu ai produsul finit in maini.

    come on.. it's Polyphony Digital, not Blizzard Entertainment.

    Despre tinutul in loc pentru incorporarea noilor tehnologii am zis pe threadul asta cu cateva pagini inainte, aici e mana Sony. Asta vreau sa zic, ca nu dureaza atat de mult lucrul la un joc... le-a luat atatia ani pentru ca se ocupa de multe lucruri in acelasi timp. Va lua inca 5 ani pentru GT6 pentru ca vor avea si pe viitor de scos versiune pentru PSP, de incorporat noi tehnologii etc.

    La fel ca in cazul Blizzard. Nu are cum sa fi luat 10 ani munca la Starcraft 2, numai ca au avut de lucrat mult si bine la cealalta megasursa de bani—World of Warcraft. De aia nici Diablo 3 nu o sa apara prea curand. Ei, dar macar daca ar fi mai sinceri cand is intrebati de noi jocuri, nu vechea replica: "Stam la un joc cat credem noi ca trebuie stat, pana iese perfect" Da, da... pana termina, de fapt, cei din echipa munca la alte proiecte mai importante pentru ei in momentul ala.

    A 3D Special Edition for Gran Turismo 5 ?

    We knew for some time now that Gran Turismo 5 would be entitled to a special edition. It was known since E3 that GT5 would be compatible 3D. What we do not yet know, was the existence of a 3D Gran Turismo 5 Special Edition, now on the site selling online amazon.fr. With a separate price (and lower) from that of the special edition, it is manifestly not the same product. What does it mean? No description is available. For cons, the announced date is November 3, which would lead to think that GT5 will have a simultaneous worldwide release.

    Am impresia ca asta e din prologue sa va spun si de ce:
    1- nu vad masini noi fata de prologue
    2- am jucat cursa asta si in gt5p daca nu ma insel
    3- in ultimele filmulete aparute pe net din jocul full, daca va uitati la harta veti vedea ca masinile apar ca niste sagetele si nu ca buline rotunde asa cum era in prologue(si cum se intampla si in filmuletul de mai sus)

    GT5’s Head-Tracking “Underwhelming”, But Damage “Looking Beautiful”

    One of the new features in Gran Turismo 5 I’ve personally been looking forward to is head-tracking. Unless you’ve got the luxury of playing racing games on three screens, the ability to look into and through the turns – just as you should do in real life – provides a considerably more immersive experience. GT5’s head-tracking was first shown in limited action at E3 2010, but it was reportedly difficult to use because of surrounding conditions the PlayStation Eye had to deal with. According to a recent article from the Official PlayStation Magazine, however, the functionality isn’t perfect. Quoting the magazine from this article at CVG.com:

    “Face-tracking using the PS Eye works on the 200 cars with cockpits and lets you look around by tilting your face away fro the screen, but the early demo we played left us underwhelmed. Head-tracking has been working well on PC for years using IR camera and reference makers but PS Eye is a simpler camera and Gran Turismo applies a digital interpretation to an analogue movement. A slight glance to the left or right is translated by the game after a considerable delay as a full 90-degree crane of your neck. Hopefully Polyphony can smooth things out before release.”

    Let’s hope head-tracking functionality can be smoothed out in software, and that it’s functionality is not hindered by practical limitations in the PS Eye hardware.

    Finally, in a bit of good news, the magazine editors got to see more of GT5’s damage system, confirming that it “accurately models mechanic and cosmetic damage to an absurd degree” and “looks beautiful”.

    Tracking propriu-zis fara markere ( AR marker - C?utare Google ) e ceva mai greu de implementat, mai ales cand camera are de-a face cu fata umana. La kinect merge pentru ca e vorba de miscari ample ale membrelor corpului (au abandonat si ei treaba cu observat si redat miscarea degetelor de la mana omului).

    Pe PC merge mai bine sistemul IR camera si pentru ca, in mod normal, PC gamerul sta mai aproape de monitor, de camera (nu stiu cum e acum, dar cica pe vremuri trebuia sa porti ceva sapca cu marker pe ea).

    In acelasi timp, am vazut de pe la inceputul anului ceva demo cu PS3 eye care facea augmented reality si tracking pe fata umana fara markere. Cred ca e vorba in oarecare masura si de scos bugurile din soft, dupa care o sa mearga bine head trackingul si la GT5 lol.

    intr-adevar , thread-ul asta are peste 1000 de posturi si peste 35 de mii de view-uri ...si mai sunt 2-3 luni pana la aparitia jocului . Imi si imaginez cum o sa fie dupa ce o sa se lanseze : campionate , curse private , custom made-uri (daca se poate ... nu m-am prea jucat GT ) etc

    Am auzit ca la jocul asta se lucreaza de foarte multi ani. Stie cineva cam cati? Eu zic ca jocul va intrece asteptarile.
